Indian Trail School reclaims Read-A-Thon Trophy. 2009 was record-breaking year with over 1000 district 112 students participating in the program, raising almost $20,000. Indian Trail reclaimed the trophy after a one-year hiatus with 1,186 pages read per student population. Wayne Thomas was recognized as most improved with a 122% increase in pages read per student population.
Please join us for Kids Go Classic on July 12, 2009. The 112 Education Foundation and Ravinia Festival proudly present an evening of all Tchaikovsky on the lawn at Ravinia Festival. The Chicago Symphony Orchestra will be performing Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 35, Nutcracker Suite No. 1 and the "1812" Festival Overture, Op. 49 (with live cannons). The Park opens at 3pm and the concert begins at 5pm. Bring a picnic dinner and well provide the dessert!
This fun event is open to all District 112 students and their families up to 4 free lawn passes per family. Registration ends on June 22, 2009. Please call 847-681-6700 x226 for more information. Students must be accompanies by an adult.
